"I know my fate. One day my name will be associated with the memory of something tremendous — a crisis without equal on earth, the most profound collision of conscience, a decision that was conjured up against everything that had been believed, demanded, hallowed so far. I am no man, I am dynamite."
- Friedrich Nietzche

FULL HISTORY// Taylor McKenna was born and raised in a middle class family in Canada. His parents always tried there best to teach both him and his older brother good values. Being almost a decade younger than his brother, Taylor grew up in the shadow of the lawyer-to-be, but he never once resent Douglas for it. The two were great friends, although to be honest, that was mostly on the part of Taylor never wanting to cause trouble and Douglas using him for it. But nothing is permanent.
Early in his teens, Taylor won a talent show at his highschool and was given an audition for a local commercial. That opened the doors for Taylor and landed him a part in a CBC afterschool special. The show was not very good, but Taylor's acting was a burning success. From there, it was offer after offer in both Canada and the US. Seeing that his fame was rising, Taylor imagined what kind of things he could do with his wealth and, unlike most, decided that once he was more established, he would make a difference in the world. He would show people that they could save themselves and that hope was eternal.
But establishing yourself in Hollywood is more difficult than you would think. It started with one compromise, and then another, then another and another until Taylor had forgotten everything he had strived for with his success. Others were constantly asking for his help or endorsement and it wasn't long before Taylor McKenna was just another A-list movie star living the fast life.
But then everything changed. A horrible car accident involving himself and his current girlfriend ended not only his career but also the girl's life. Without the spirit to continue, Taylor soon found that he possesed strange abilities. Abilities that prevented him for being captured by cameras or any other electronic device.
Still to this day, Taylor cannot "turn off" that ability. But then again, why would he want to. On camera he became the very heartless person he had never wanted to be.

“Taylor!”
“Taylor!”
“Can we get a picture of you and Miss Dyne?”
The red carpet never changes. The lights flash. The crowd calls. The reporters ask about the most current Hollywood gossip while secretly hating you and resenting themselves because this is the closest they’ll ever come to the spotlight. Thank you E!
Its weird how all this came to be. I remember struggling to get my first start. It all happened so quickly after that. A “rising star” they called me. My ticket to Hollywood was set after that; everyone calling, wanting me to star in their next motion picture, everyone wanting to be a part of the Taylor McKenna phenomenon. And I just ate it up. I never thought I’d become one of those stars, but this is Hollywood. You can’t escape it. So much energy, it’s like the city is alive. They say the same thing about New York. The difference is New York will darken your soul. Hollywood chews your soul up and spits it out. It always loses its taste for you eventually. I know this. I always knew this. I was going to change it. I was going to be different. I was going to inspire people through my acting, through my movies. They would see how things could be, how one person could change the world for the better. I know what you’re thinking, “How could I have been so naïve?” It’s not naïveté. It can be done; you just have to stay true to yourself…stay true to yourself.
Okay, smile for the camera. That’s it. Smile. Strike a pose. Now some shots with Miss Dyne. I have to laugh at that, “Miss Dyne.” Angela. She’s my rock. I brought her into this life. She’s a celebrity because of her association with me, and she’s a natural. She’s not like the other girls. Trust me; I’ve had a plenty of the other girls. She’s pure. I forgot that that was possible. As we stand there for the masses, blinded by the lights from the cameras, wearing our celebrity masks I’m reminded of something a friend had once told me. He told me that there were some cultures who believed that having their picture taken meant the camera stole their soul. I wonder if any part of my soul is left.
We head to our car and make our way to the After party, and then the After-After party. I eat it up; the affluence, the accolades, the leering, and the pretenders, all of it. I eat it up. When I can tell Angela’s had her fill of all the precociousness, I say my farewells and prepare to leave. “Where’d this rain come from?” I gasp. A torrential down pour of rain, the heavens bursting at the seams. She has no response other than a smile. Oh my god, I love this woman! I take off my jacket and use it as a make-shift umbrella. As we run to the car laughing, I see flashes. Not lightning. Camera flashes. It’s the Paparazzi. They’re here. They’re always here, even in this weather. They’ve become the backdrop to my life. Is this the legacy I’ll leave, a lifetime of tabloids? We seat ourselves in the car, drenched through to the bone. The umbrella didn’t work. Angela relaxes in her seat as I start the car and pull out onto the street. The Paparazzi follow and I can’t say I’m surprised. It wears on you. You couldn’t understand unless you’ve experienced it yourself, but it wears on you. I open it up, the car engine humming, and leave the Paparazzi behind.
Angela smirks at me. “I love you,” as she leans in for a kiss. I’m compelled to comply…but no kiss comes.
“Taylor!!!” The sound of that cry still shakes me to my bones. I turn away from her dirge. Look up. Stalled car in the street…swerve, swerve…bus…
I awake from the darkness, rain pooling in my eye. No, it’s not rain. I have a head injury, the blood tracing a line all the way down my arm. I look over to make sure Angela’s okay. She’s not there, she went out the window. Oh no! In a panic I stumble from the car. She’s lying there, not moving. I run to her and check her vitals. She’s not breathing, or I can’t hear it over the rain. My god, what have I done? “No. No!”
That’s when I notice that we’re surrounded. Camera flashes going off faster than I can blink; faster than I can think. “Help her! Somebody help her!”
My cries go unnoticed. Just more camera flashes, more pictures taken. They’re stealing her soul.
“Stop it. Give it back! GIVE HER BACK!” I flail wildly, uselessly. What have I done? This is my fault. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be.
I sit there clutching Angela as hard as I can, tears streaming down my face. Tears invisible in the rain. All around us the crescendo of cameras continues…
Fade to black. Roll credits. Curtain falls.
