The fountain held a special kind of peace for Dani. She couldn't describe it, but it was had a way of clearing her head, and calming her down. She loved the sound the water made as it cascaded down into the small pool of water, on which she was sitting on the edge.
She worked away at her physics homework, but she couldn't seem to understand a thing. 'That's what you get for day dreaming in class'. It wasn't her fault her teacher was unbelievably boring for a teacher that could fly around the world in a matter, of seconds. That itself should automatically make him more interesting, but it didn't seem to.
'Why are we even learning Physics, when I am sure their are people like us out their that can surely defy the laws. She thought to herself, in all honestly she knew that if anyone want to go into a career in science they would need this but right now it all seemed to be a little too much. She had a chemistry test in two days, a biology test on friday, and a physics test tomorrow. It was all too much. She knew it was going to be a tough semister when she signed up for it, but she could believe how hard it actually was.
She had just recently dropped her history class and even then things were out of control. She couldn't do physics it was just so hard. The laws the equations. How could any person know all that.
She quickly shut her physics book, knowing she wasn't going to be getting any more physics done, but she still had a chemistry lab to finish the questions for, and two biology projects to do. It was a horrible choice to have to make but it the end she choose chemistry. It was easier.
As she made her way through the questions she could help but get fed up at the questions, some of them were so simple it was stupid, and other were university level exam questions. My goodness couldn't the teacher make up her mind.
She liked her Chemistry teacher, Miss Anders, was great fun. She was intelligent and made chemistry funny, but some of the time they things that she did on tests and in labs made no sense.
She quickly closed her book getting frustrated. She wasn't going to be getting any work done tonight, and she knew it. Instead of going on to attempt bio, she pulled out her sketch book, and began to sketch the scenery which surronded her.
The beautiful trees and hills as the sun began to set in the distance. In was absolutely beautiful, and she loved to draw, she was never a great drawer but she was okay at it, and she loved to do it.

It was one of those days. One of those days when there seemed to be absolutely nothing to do. School hadn’t let out all that long ago, but already Kenny felt like he was going to explode from the monotony of their days. It was always the same; wake up, attend classes, sleep, repeat. How tedious was that? And so Kenny Archer walked around the school, looking for something to do. It was unusual for him to be without any sort of company, as he was today, but these things couldn’t always be avoided. His usual group of friends were studying for tests that would take place this week but he, being the slacker that he was, had chosen to put it off at least until tomorrow; after all he still had two full days so why stress?
His wanderings lead him outside without his intent to actually go there. Spontaneity was one of the finer points in life. Without it everything would seem far too planned. That was the type of guy he was, he’d prefer to do something that could go horribly, terribly wrong, than stay on the chartered course. Eventually being stuck behind a desk doing paperwork all his life? Don’t count on it. Whatever field he eventually choose to follow would be something far more interesting. Since he was nearing the end of his high school career, perhaps he had better choose a field sometime soon. He’d deal with it later.
Not long after he had continued his walk outside in the fresh air of the campus did he come across the all too familiar form of a girl younger than himself with dark hair. Kenny would be able to recognize her anywhere although they weren’t necessarily friends. Daniella was one of his favourite people on campus. Why? Because she was so much fun to tease.
He slowly made his way over to her, his sneakers making little noise on the ground because of how worn in they were. Really he should replace them soon, but chances were he wouldn’t until they completely fell apart. His hands stayed in his pockets where they had been since he had left his dorm. As he drew closer he noticed the book in her hands. A sketch book? Since when had she been one to doodle? When he was only a few steps away he tried to focus his bright green eyes on the book to see what she was drawing.
“What are you doing Harrison?” he asked, standing just behind her now. Because she was seated on the fountain he could see over her head into her sketch book. Someone had once told him that a sketchbook was like an artist’s diary. Well, if that were true that made him want to look even more. What secrets was Daniella holding inside her head? “I never knew you to be an artist,” he scoffed, putting a little emphasis on his final word. He was never downright cruel when he picked on her, but he just liked to have a little fun with her.

Daniella had been enjoying the quiet of the nature, and outdoors. When her eye picked up a sound of squeaky footsteps approach her. She immediately recognized the voice as Kenny Archer's. She slammed her sketch book closed immediately hoping that he hadn't seen anything, but with her luck recently he had.
When he finally spoke again her fears where confirmed he had seen what she had been working on. "Well that's because it's none of your business."She told him, as she hoped to her feet. She didn't particularly like Kenny, he always seemed to have something to tease her about, and seemed to take great pleasure it teasing her.
"What do you want Kenny?"She asked angrily hoping he would just leave her alone in peace, but knowing how persistent he could be he wouldn't leave her alone for quite a while.
She stood up facing him trying to make herself seem as tall as possible, but even then he was still inches taller than herself. It was no use Kenny Archer was not going to leave her alone, at least not until he was satisfied the she was completely and utterly embarrassed. She knew that would be easy enough now that he had seen her sketch book, it was personal more personal than her diary. She knew let anyone see it and know Kenny had, and he was the one person in the world in which she prayed never saw it.
She quickly put her sketch book which she had continued to clench to her chest into her bag, and quickly zipped it up to keep him from grabbing it from her and looking through it. There was some pictures in there in which she didn't want even Leah to see. They were her own personal feeling and thoughts and they did not need to be exploited to the world, through some jerk who found pleasure in bugging her to no end.

The slamming of her book surprised him a little, not expecting such a harsh reaction out of the small young lady. He smirked to himself as the sound cut through the peaceful silence around them. Peaceful moment gone; just the way he liked it. Times like these were far too boring for his liking. How the dark haired girl could stand it was beyond his knowledge, give him the party scene over this dull lot any time.
“Well,” he started, “I choose to make it my business. Aren’t you happy that I look out for you?” he asked, feigning shock at her words. It was obvious she had never been really fond of him, though he couldn’t really see why. It wasn’t as though he had ever done something to intentionally provoke the girl’s temper. Whenever he was around she had a habit of sending off bad vibes. Of course that was the sort of thing that only made Kenny tease her even more, just so he could get a rise out of her. “You know, talking like that, people are going to start to think you hate me,” he shook his head slowly from side to side.
He put his hands in his pockets, which contained nothing but lint and a crumpled gum wrapper from earlier on in the day. He moved slowly, as he always did, though his actions always seemed confident and deliberate. He was one of those guys who made everything look easy, mainly because he never did anything that was too hard or required too much energy. “Want? I don’t want anything,” his shoulders moved up and down in a lazy shrug, “I just want to catch up with you.” A smile slowly painted across his face, “It’s been too long kiddo,” he reached a hand up and ruffled her hair teasingly.
“So then my dear little friend,” he said looking down at her since she was much shorter than he himself was, “any new love interests or anything else I should know about? he asked. He had heard virtually nothing about her for a long time, and for him that meant there must be something going on, and around here all the good gossip was always about couples. Although she was too young for Kenny, she had probably caught someone’s eye.
Kenny looked over his shoulder before looking back to Daniella. Usually by now Lawson, mother hen that he was, would be swooping down now, telling him to stop picking on her. He didn’t know what that guys problem was, but whenever Kenny started joking around with someone that guy always showed up to tell him off.

Daniella smiled slightly as she noticed him jump slightly at the slamming of her book. "Oh so this is what you call looking out for me?She all but yelled, trying not to give him the satisfation of yelling, after all that is what he wanted he wanted a reaction from her. She knew that that was one of the reasons he even bugged her was for the reaction, but lately she tried her hardest not to give him one.
"Wow, really well then maybe I should talk like this more often."She told him with a smirk as she glared at him, trying to keep her voice down as to not cause a scene, if she yelled people would look and that was the kind of thing Kenny thrived off of. She hated how well she knew him, even though she wished she had no contact with the annoying man. She didn't really hate him, hate was a strong word. He just annoyed her to no end.
Daniella watched as he walked around carefully, everything he did looking calculated as if it was part of some plan he had already created, but Dani knew him better than that, Kenny rarely planned something more than 10 seconds ahead of time. She couldn't help but feel her temper flare as she ruffled her hair, but instead of yelling and screaming as every part of her mind was telling her to do, she just swatted her hand away and pretended to not be bothered, all while thanking the lord that Kenny was not an empath.
Dani wanted to tell him that her personal life was none of his business but decided that maybe she should just play along with everything that way this would be over and done with quicker.
"Nope, nothing well me."She told him trying to pretend not to bother that she actually had a huge crush on the youngest Connor brother, but he didn't need to know about that. "What about you Kenny? A handsome man like you must have girls throwing themselves at you."She said hoping he would take the bait and begin to talk about his own life and leave hers alone/

He couldn’t help but laugh at her frustration. He hadn’t even been there ten minutes and she was already loosing her temper with him. Honestly he hadn’t done anything yet. “Yes, its exactly what I call it. Just be thankful its me and not some total creep,” he knew that in Daniella’s books that was exactly what he was; a creep. Still, she was so much fun to be around he simply couldn’t resist putting in a few jibes now and then. She was just too funny when she was angry, though he never got the impression she was really too angry at him, just annoyed and frustrated.
Kenny put one hand over his heart and fixed a look of hurt onto his features, “Dani!” he exclaimed, horrified, “You’re breaking my heart. You don’t really hate me, you know it,” he said, dropping the act with a smile in her direction. For all he knew, she might actually hate him. That was alright, she wasn’t the first, and certainly wouldn’t be the last, but the thing was not to let it bother him.
She swatted his hand away as he ruffled his hair, but he only sat down at the lip of the fountain, looking up at her. He hadn’t managed to mess her hair up too much, but it was obvious he had done some damage. Tufts of her hair stuck up from where it had once been (probably) carefully brushed down to just the style Daniella had wanted. Although it wasn’t too terribly noticeable, what he did notice gave him a small feeling of satisfaction.
“Oh well, you know me. So many young ladies at the school that are in need of assistance, and I’m only too willing to help.” Kenny’s version of ‘help’ was probably not so helpful, but he rarely ever heard one of them complain. Every now and again there were a few but even he couldn’t always be perfect. He paused for a moment, allowing her to feel like he had dropped the subject before he spoke again, a smile on his lips, “So who is it? If you’re asking me about my love life. You’re hiding something.” He might not know her that well, but he knew she didn’t like talking to him, so she really didn’t want to hear what he had to say about his love life. Besides, almost the entire school knew about his love life. “A secret boyfriend perhaps? he questioned.
